Lessons: I teach 1-to-1 lessons in the Hertfordshire area along with Birthday parties and regular after school and half term lessons.
Years skateboarding: I would probably guess around 8 or 9 years old was when I first started skating in a local council estate.
Why do you skate? Skateboarding’s not only provided me with a sense of accomplishment and entertainment, but gave me an opportunity to explore, create and provide a helpful distraction towards anything negative occurring in life. I owe skateboarding a lot. It’s ingrained into my very existence.
Why do you enjoy skateboard coaching? Skateboarding is a wonderful thing. It’s helped me through a load of hardship, it’s got me some of the best friends I could have ever hoped to have had and you only need to look around a skatepark or spot to see it makes skaters happy. Plant a seed and watch it grow. If I could provide one beginner out of a class of fifty with the sense of happiness many people get from a skateboard, I’d be one happy guy. Not to mention kids are wonderful to work with; their honesty, excitement, persistence and bravery amazes me every Tuesday at ABC.
